How the DAL Healthcare Network Works The DAL healthcare network is operated as three separate lines of business within the company. Each LOB functions under its own trade name, but for business and operational purposes is fully integrated with the other two LOBs. The three LOBs are: Medical Doctors International focuses on working with our global network of doctors, to assure that their skill levels are timely assessed, proctoring takes place in support of the services they provide, pre- and post-procedure patient follow up services are made available when requested, and each doctor's unique skills are fully integrated into our overall operation. Medical Travel International works directly with patients who come to us for help in finding medical care. MTI provides every element of patient support from finding qualified doctors to arranging travel, accommodation and financing. Hospital International performs a similar service to Medical Doctors International, except its focus is on the hospitals that are a part of our global network. Medical Specialties of our Healthcare Network Most patients interface with us through Medical Travel International. To more fully assist patients, Medical Travel International focuses on multiple health and wellness "verticals". In each of these areas MTI builds a global network of physicians and hospitals that are able to work together to offer patients cutting edge medical treatments, often not available in their own region. Treatments like gastric air balloons that support weight loss, advanced cancer prediction tests, eye-lens implants that provide bifocal sight correction, and more, are examples. To help patients gain access to this network we use a combination of traditional physician referral systems, Web 2.0 based social networking platforms, and advanced IT based advertising platforms. In the beginning though, it all starts with a patient contacting us. We then help put the patient in touch with a local physician who can assess their needs and make appropriate on-going referrals into our global network. Medical Travel International Medical Referral Areas Our Healthcare Network is composed of global physicians who are experts in the medical specialties listed here. However, to make it easy for patients to gain referrals into this global network, after the patient contacts us we introduce them to a local physician who performs an initial consultation and evaluation to help determine exactly what their medical needs are. Working with the patient, the local physician assists in determining how best to meet the patient's needs, what global facility is best suited to provide the treatment and care needed, and with which physician, surgeon or hospital within our network the patient should work. The local physician also performs any needed preliminary evaluations and assessments, including providing pre-op physicals, medical history evaluation, pre-op labs, xray, ECGs and more. Once the physician finishes with his preliminary evaluation, we complete the process. We coordinate scheduling, pricing, payments, transportation and all other factors so that the process of organizing international medical services goes smoothly. From helping patients find local physicians willing to refer them to international hospitals, to coordinating the actual procedure, our referral service is fully capable of managing all of the steps involved.
